Updates to the blog are coming along a little slower than expected. In the meantime there has been some good news on the UK Biodiversity Action Plan front.
The BBC has published a news item giving some of the background. For those of us interested in amphibians and reptiles, the exciting news is that several species have been added to the list of 'priority species'.
Along with the previously listed great crested newt, pool frog, natterjack toad and sand lizard, we now have common toad, viviparous lizard, slow-worm, smooth snake, grass snake and adder. The full list is available on the UK BAP website.
